I have been going to Glastonbury Festival since the year 2000 when I was 17 and I went with £20 in my pocket one change of clothes, a sleeping bag a no ticket. I've been many times since and it is very special place for me. So when I was asked to work for festival's on-site free newspaper as their illustrator documenting the festival, to say it was a dream job is an understatement.
I also got the chance to turn my Tony Benn portrait from Thursday's paper into a poster celebrating his life. We printed 500 of the posters on the Heidelberg printer and distributed them from the Free Press tent.
Glastonbury Free Press / Tony Benn Tribute Poster
I was lucky enough to be able to turn my Tony Benn illustration from Thursday's paper into a poster celebrating his life with one of his classic quotes.
Once we got a plate made of the poster design we ran it through the Heidelburg. We printed 500 posters with a two-tone red to black fade, hinting at Tony Benn's Labour roots.
